How can we arrive?

Hakgala Botanical Garden is located about 10 km from Nuwara Eliya town on the Nuwara Eliya–Badulla road. It is easily accessible by bus, train, and private vehicles.

By Bus

From the Nuwara Eliya Main Bus Stand, take any bus heading toward Welimada, Badulla, or Boralanda.

The garden is located about 10–12 km along the Nuwara Eliya–Badulla Main Road.

 

By Train

Take a train to Nanu Oya Railway Station

From Nanu Oya, take Bus to Nuwara Eliya town. Taxi / Tuk-tuk to Hakgala Botanical Garden

The distance from Nanu Oya to Nuwara Eliya is around 10 km.
