How can we arrive?
The complex sits about 25 kilometers away from Kandy city center and just 5 kilometers from Gampola town. Therefore, you can easily reach this destination using several transport methods.
By Bus or Train
Alternatively, you can take a bus or train from Kandy to Gampola. Once you reach the Gampola station, you must hire a local tuk-tuk or a safari jeep to travel the remaining distance to the peak.
By Tuk Tuk
To begin with, hiring a tuk-tuk from Gampola town offers the most convenient option to climb the steep mountain road. Generally, this adventurous ride takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
By Private Vehicle
Lastly, you can drive your own vehicle up to the ticket counter. However, the road becomes extremely steep and narrow near the top, so only highly experienced drivers should attempt the final climb.

Is climbing the tower safe?
Generally, the climb remains safe for most visitors. However, the staircase becomes extremely narrow and windy near the very top. Therefore, we strongly advise people with a fear of heights or heart conditions to stay on the lower viewing platforms.
Do we need to buy an entrance ticket?
Yes, the management requires all visitors to purchase an entrance ticket at the main gate. Specifically, foreign tourists and locals have different ticket prices, so carrying some cash is a smart idea.
Can we fly drones at the complex?
Currently, the authorities strictly prohibit flying drones around the complex without obtaining special prior permission. Consequently, you should rely on your regular camera or smartphone for photography.
