How can we arrive?

Mukirigala Rock is located near Danawaka, roughly 10 km from Kegalle town center and 85 km east of Colombo.

By Bus

Board any main bus traveling along the Colombo–Kandy main highway (A1). Get off at Kegalle Town, followed by a local bus towards Danawaka / Bulathkohupitiya, then take a short tuk-tuk ride to the trail starting point.

By Train

Take the Main Line train from Colombo Fort to Polgahawela Railway Station or Rambukkana Railway Station. From the station, board a local bus or private taxi to Kegalle and Danawaka.
