How can we arrive?
Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary is located in Kalametiya, approximately 20 km east of Tangalle along the southern coastal route.
By Bus
Board any main running between Tangalle and Hambantota. Get off at Hungama Junction or Ranna Junction, followed by a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride (approx. 6 km) to the boat launch site.
By Train
Board the Coastal Line train to Beliatta Railway Station. From Beliatta station, hire a private taxi or tuk-tuk to drive directly to Kalametiya via Tangalle (approx. 35 minutes).
ByPrivete Vehicle
Drive via the Southern Expressway (E01) and exit at the Ranna Interchange or Kasagala Interchange. Proceed along the main highway (A2) towards Hungama and turn towards Kalametiya road. Parking is available near the entrance.
