Mulkirigala Raja Maha Viharaya is located in Mulkirigala, approximately 16 km inland from Tangalle town.

By Bus

Take a bus to Tangalle Bus Stand or Beliatta Town. From Tangalle main station, board a local bus heading towards Mulkirigala/Weeraketiya and get off right near the temple entrance.

By Train

Board the Coastal Line train to Beliatta Railway Station (the closest station). From Beliatta railway terminal, hire a quick 15-minute tuk-tuk ride (approx. 10 km) directly to the site.

ByPrivete Vehicle

Drive south via the Southern Expressway (E01) and exit at the Beliatta Interchange or Kasagala Interchange. Continue along the Beliatta–Walasmulla road towards Mulkirigala. Parking is available near the base.
