Which time best for visit ?
The Migratory Bird Season from September to March is the absolute best session for traveling to Bundala National Park, as thousands of international migratory birds arrive from Northern Asia and Europe. For general wildlife viewing, the dry months from May to September are also ideal.

How can we arrive?
Bundala National Park entrance gate is located near Weligatta along the Hambantota–Tissamaharama road.
By Bus
Board any main southern bus heading towards Hambantota or Tissamaharama. Get off at Weligatta Junction, followed by a short 5 km tuk-tuk or taxi ride directly to the park gate.
By Train
Take the Coastal Line train to Beliatta Railway Station. From Beliatta station, hire a private taxi or drive via the Southern Expressway extension to Hambantota/Bundala (approx. 1 hour).
By Private Vehicle
Drive via the Southern Expressway (E01) and exit at the Hambantota Interchange. Continue along the Hambantota–Tissamaharama highway (A2) to Weligatta Junction and turn towards the park entrance.
