How can we arrive?
Salgala Forest Monastery is located in Galapitamada, roughly 15 km from Warakapola and 60 km northeast of Colombo.
By Bus
Board any main bus traveling along the Colombo–Kandy highway (A1). Get off at Warakapola Town, followed by a local bus towards Galapitamada, then take a short tuk-tuk ride to the monastery entrance gate.
By Train
Take the Main Line train from Colombo Fort to Mirigama Railway Station. From Mirigama, board a local bus or hire a private tuk-tuk straight to Galapitamada and Salgala.
